OPENING NIGHT - Friday, 5 November, 6pm
John EATON, Craig HOY, David MARSDEN, Mark MISIC, Roland NANCARROW, Ricky REGULAR RICK, Brian ROBINSON, Paul SACHSE, Daniel WALLWORK
"As one of my favourite artists, British painter, Francis Bacon (1909-1992) once stated that the job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery.
This eclectic group exhibition showcases the work of nine local cairns-based artists who were invited to develop work to highlight or possibly 'demystify' their visual interpretation of the world.
The diverse, creative practice of these male artists presents imagery that reflects both their individual approach and parallels their insights into the enigma of 'mystery'."
Leanne Shead - Curator
